The Mums of Rose Tinted
The Mums of Rose Tinted
This week we took a moment amongst our flower preparations and had some of the Rose Tinted girls answer a few questions about their Mums.
We see across this Mothers Day week floods of flower gestures that are all make our hearts melt.
Our beautiful Stephie, Rose Tinted's owner, became a Mother only a few weeks ago. As the Rose Tinted family expands, we are incredibly excited for her and share all our love with her latest significant role of MUM.
Our Mums should be spoilt every day. But you already knew that. Let's take a step back this week and remind ourselves of those things that make her special.

On our days together, we will always eat somewhere delicious, and both order a chai latte. The date will almost always be followed by us popping into several home decor stores where we could browse for hours chatting away.

There are many photos of Mum and I looking identical as children; however, we were pretty different! Mum was a real tomboy, outdoors at all times, while I enjoyed dressing up and hanging with my girlfriends.

What's a tradition that you and Mum share together?
Going for tea and cake in Corbridge - a neighbouring village back home that is all old stone buildings, particularly gorgeous, quaint, and full of coffee shops. We then have a bimble around all of our favourite independent food and vintage stores.

We both played a lot of sports as children, she was a PE teacher so it was inevitable my sister and I would be sporty. We both were/are into textile crafts, she taught me how to knit and mend my clothes. We’re both notorious nail biters, though thanks to covid our nails are looking great these days!
What is your favourite thing to do together?
I spent a lot of time with my mum last year (being stuck in the UK for 5 months!), during which time we did yoga together every morning - I loved seeing her progress and she’s kept it up since I left and can now do a crow!! So proud of her. She has a cute veg patch, she taught me about tending it and I enjoyed learning and helped her look after it. But by far the favourite has to be going for walks through the wood together with our family dog.
What is Mum's favourite flower?
Mum - Sweet peas! For their gorgeous scent and colour. I also love to see Primroses in our local woods.
Me - When I think of sweet peas I always think of my mum, she would grow them in our garden in the now ornamental old stone chimney they rescued from an old school, which also contained our old Labradors ashes, he was helping them grow! I love that whole interconnection.
