Emily and Ash

To this day I still haven't met Ash. It might seem strange but it's often only the bride who I meet and consult with (sometimes a reluctant groom is brought along to the first or last catch up but sometimes I don't meet them at all). Each time I caught up with Emily it was such a joy. Chatting flowers over coffee, it was just like having yarns with a girlfriend.

They had just moved back to Auckland after several years in London so out first few chats were 50% floral, 50% waxing lyrical about London.

It was going to be a special day, very much tailored to what was special to them. Emily's dress was a beauuutiful lace applique gown in an etherial grey/blue, complete with tulle train. Because Emily's dress was going to be a suprise, Ash insisted on his suit being a suprise too. Every time we caught up I asked her if she'd got any info about his suit but damn Ash was good at keeping it hush. I've gotta admit, the guy has great taste, he chose a dark navy velvet tux. He looked fab.

They tied the knot at a family farm, south of Auckland at a festival inspired celebration. They said their 'I do's under a tree, next to a stream in a field (just out of shot was a field of tents, ready for guests to stay the night. After the ceremony, the guests celebrated with drinks, lawn games and delicious food from Roam Food Caravan (special mention goes to Cam from Roam who helped us hang the floral in the marquee. We couldn't have done it without his super human strength).

Inside the marquee we hung a pretty epic (if I say so myself) hanging floral centrepiece. The tables were lined with dried hydrangeas and seed lights, ready for when the sun went down.

To Em and Ash, thank you for being so wonderful to work and collaborate with. We'll have to catch up over coffee again soon x

The rest of their day wouldn't have been possible without the rest of the incredible talents...
